Look, I'm sorry Chrialex I wasn't trying to be rude or harsh. In regards to the PC when anyone says a PC they think Microsoft. Yes I originally stated PC and did not mention personal computer at all. Just simply said PC. I goofed on the computer cause yeah all systems are technically computers. Mac is the term used for Apple. I don't know anyone of my friends that would say they are going to buy a PC and anyone would think once they are buying a Mac. Usually people would assume they are just going out to buy a Desktop/Laptop computer with Microsoft. And yes the systems are way different. (specially when thinking back on the XP plug and pray bleh!) Either way I think I just edited it real quick too because we got way off my point. Didn't even want this to be an ego contest or a criticism posting about my remark on the fact that many people have Vista on their computers. I didn't mean to come across as rude when editing my post either. I do run a few forums myself and it get's very clogged when one poster posts over and over again. So I was just trying to save space. As for PxP working hard on Vista and hoping it's done before February. I would so love that along with our guild.

When PxP was in its infancy Windows XP was (and may still be. I don't know exact figures so I'm not going to take a guess) the dominant gaming platform. The work that the PxP crew is doing to get the overlay working at the kernel level is quite an undertaking and making sure it works on that dominant platform first is the key to its success. Get it out to the biggest audience and you'll get more followers.

The problem now, is that since PxP has focused on getting XP work done, much of the user base has begun to shift towards Vista as it matures as a gaming platform and they're left out. Now, it's not just a simple copy/paste of the XP code and you're done. Vista's architecture is very different and the guys/gals at PxP are working their tails off trying to get it done as soon as possible (keeping my fingers crossed that it's done before February :P ).

You even said that "software released after Vista was released would make sure it is fully compatible with Vista," so why would you want PxP to release a half-compatible version that crashes all the time? Patience is a virtue. They're not going to abandon the project and it's not going to kill you if you have to wait another month to use PxP in-game on Vista.

Since when is a Mac not a personal computer? You can own one, and they're computers... Just because they don't run Windows doesn't make them any less of a computer. Would you consider Linux machines to not be PCs? I mean, I'm not a fan of he Apple OS, but that doesn't make Macs something other than a PC.

As much as I love Vista, it is NOT the OS installed on every home computer sold in the world now for the past two years. There are a lot of places that still sell computers with XP, and then you have Apple, Linux, and then computers that come without an OS. And as far as what you think, yes, most software released after Vista is fully compatible, that is why PXP's Vista drivers are NOT RELEASED yet. They are working on it. At least they are not Palm, I am still waiting for a Vista driver for my Tungsten E, or a few people I know that have products from other big-name companies that have been out for almost 3 years now, and STILL don't have Vista support, nor do they have any interaction with their users on when to expect support. Unlike PXP's interaction here on the forums...

Yes, I would like Vista drivers for PXP, but I understand that they do not have a LOT of people working for them, and they prioritized their development cycle to support the largest OS at the time they started, which was 32-bit XP. I would have done the same in their shoes, as I think most people would have if they had common sense...

I understand it is tough to get working with vista. However this program has been out since early last year maybe longer. Vista has been released over 2 years now. I would think most if not all software released after Vista was released would make sure it is fully compatible with Vista given that is the OS installed on MOST home PC's sold in the world now for the past 2 years. Sorry for the abrupt statement, but it is something that should be very well noted.
